Teri Patterson has been named as the 2021-2022 Ritchie Elementary School Service Personnel Employee of the Year.
Patterson is aide at Ritchie, and she has served in Ohio County Schools since 2016. She began her employment with the school system as an aide at Middle Creek Elementary School. During the 2016-2017 school year she served at both Ritchie and Elm Grove Elementary School. Patterson became a full-time employee of Ritchie Elementary School at the start of the 2017-2018 school year.
Ritchie Elementary School Principal John Jorden said he was proud to announce that Patterson was named as the school’s service personnel employee of the year. He said she is kind and patient when working with Hornet students.
“Mrs. Patterson assists students with autism in our K-2 program,” Jorden said. “Her patience and love for the children shows as she helps them with communication skills and daily-living skills. She balances the importance of keeping their routines while guiding them to learn new things.”
