Week of Jan. 12
This is the last week of the 1st semester. There will be opportunities on Tuesday and Wednesday for students to connect with teachers on any last-minute make-up work.
This week our underclassmen will be focusing on scheduling their courses for next year. You’ll see items coming out on Schoology for Pre-Registration. We have so many amazing courses and opportunities here. Please work with your child to help them develop course requests that meet their interests and post-graduation plans.
Senior families, please plan to purchase your cap & gown by this Friday before a price increase takes effect.
Lastly, as a reminder, students do not have school next Monday (MLK, Jr. Day) and Tuesday (PL Day). When the return on Wednesday, Jan. 21, we will start in Developmental Guidance where students will get and then start their 2nd semester schedules.

Our Speaker Series is back in 2026!
Today we welcomed Zach Abraham, President Ohio County Commission and CEO of Align HR, as well as Stephanie Hockenberry, Growth & Retention Manager of the Ohio County Development Authority.
Zach and Stephanie shared the value of local government and the impact on our local economy. They addressed the importance of teamwork and communication to the 20+ students in attendance. Speaker Series is such a valuable tool to connect our students with encouragement and post-graduation opportunities in the Ohio Valley.
We are looking forward to future Speaker Series guests from the Wheeling Police Department, local investing & financial planning companies and more!

There is still plenty happening this week as we head toward Holiday Break! Be sure to #experienceTHEPARK

For the Week of December 8
There are so many things happening at Park this week! We encourage our students all the time to #experienceTHEPARK and this is a great week to do that. A couple of highlights....
Students will receive their Interim Report and their 2nd semester schedules on Tuesday. There is a process to request schedule changes and those need to be completed before leaving for Holiday Break.
Our Boys Basketball Team is hosting an exhibition game against Central Catholic on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Admission is free. However, all donations will be given to the Steve Myers Memorial Baseball Scholarship Fund.
And the best way to get into the holiday spirit is to see our Festival of Sound. This is the 30th Anniversary and I know there will be a lot of special guests and extras throughout the three nights of performances. Please come and enjoy the show on Friday or Saturday night at 7 p.m. or the Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.

For the Week of December 1
Hope you had a restful Thanksgiving Break. We will be back into full swing on Monday.
If you’ve never attended a Bowling Match, we encourage you to check out one of the two home matches this week.
Parents, Speaker Series is a great program we’ve started this year. We bring in a variety of local professionals that share their experience and encouragement as our students try to find their post-graduation path. Please encourage your child to attend one that sparks their interest. Additional opportunities are offered for those that attend, such as our Lunch and Learn and possible paid internships.
Lastly, this Friday is interim. You can expect interim reports to come home next week.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
