It’s National School Counseling Week, and Ohio County Schools is thanking Middle Creek Elementary School counselor Pam Fazzini for her dedicated service to Road Runner students.

Fazzini has been Middle Creek’s Counselor for two decades, and she is as passionate as ever about the work she does with her students.

“What I love most about my role as the school counselor, is coming up with new ways to help our students deal with the current world we live in."  "I think it's important to teach them lifelong skills that will help them cope with the daily stress of life."  We work on social skills, problem solving skills and stress management on a daily basis.  It is imperative they learn these skills at a young age, so they are able to cultivate and use them as they grow into key members of our communites.

Fazzini said it has been rewarding to see Middle Creek’s counseling program grow and develop into what it is now.

“We are a great team at Middle Creek, and I am honored to be a part of it,” she said. “It makes me proud to know we work hard each day to do what’s in the best interest of our kids.”
