State championship golf teams are invited each year to participate in the National High School Golf Championship, and this year’s event is being held in Frisco, Texas. Wheeling Park High School’s state championship golf team is joining together with Wheeling Central Catholic High School golfers to take part in the event with the goal of representing the Mountain State on a national stage with their excellent skill and ability and exceptional sportsmanship.
A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit the players’ expenses will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 16 at St. Michael Parish, Angelus Center at 1221 National Road. Carryout is also available. There will be basket raffles, golf prizes and a 50/50 drawing.
