We're gearing up to recognize our Teacher of the Year and Service Personnel of the Year nominees at Monday's 4/27 BOE meeting scheduled at the Beneke where the winners will be announced that evening.
This year, The West Virginia Department of Education expanded the recognition by encouraging counties to name a Principal of the Year and School Counselor of the Year nominee.

Steenrod Elementary School Principal, Michelle Dietrich. Mrs. Dietrich recently saw SES named a WV Blue Ribbon School and leads with warmth, compassion, and connection.

Bridge Street Middle School School Counselor, Brittany Rose. Mrs. Rose created Street Time, a system of small groups creating additional opportunities for students to feel connected and supported. She educates with empathy and encourages growth of each individual student.
